01 - PROJECT OVERVIEW
This project involved designing a complete vinyl album package for a fictional band, including the front and back covers and the interior layouts. The goal was to develop a cohesive system and visual identity across all elements of the project.

02 - CONCEPT
The concept explored themes of disconnection and emotional distancing through the fictional R&B band known as “the Nomads.” The goal was focused on creating an introspective, somber tone that reflects the feelings of being disconnected. The album was titled “Out of Sync” to reinforce this idea, using minimalism and imbalance to support the theme throughout the designs.

03 - PROCESS
Designing was based on initial research into successful album cover designs surrounding the R&B theme. As part of this, I referenced “Circles” by Mac Miller as a key visual influence, using it to explore similar themes for the album cover. From there, the concept and album title “Out of Sync” were developed to guide the theme. Initial layouts were established through a workflow between Photoshop and Illustrator, using Photoshop for imagery and Illustrator for typography and layouts.

04 - REFLECTION
This project helped me understand how visual design can communicate tone and emotion through consistent theming. Understanding this helped me to maintain consistency through the designs and develop a vinyl design that was cohesive throughout.
